You can give Mk1 a call, send a text or fill out the contact form. You will hear back from me within 24 hours to arrange a time and day that fits in with your timetable.

Before you can start driving lessons you must hold a provisional driving licence. You can either pick up a form from your local post office or apply online. The current fee is is £34-£43, depending on how you apply.

The DVSA recommend 45 hours of driving lessons as well as additional private practice. But in my experience, it depends on the person; some of my students have had only 10 and some over the recommended 45. I will do my best to work with you and I will only encourage you to book your test when I believe you are ready.

This depends on you. When you first start to learn, I recommend at least a weekly 2 hour slot. If you would like more than one lesson a week, I can work my diary around you.

Once you have booked in with Mk1 Driving School, I will put your regular time in my diary and that will be yours until you need to change or you complete your lessons.

If you have never driven before, we will spend roughly 20 to 30 minutes going over the basic controls. (This won’t be on a busy road!) The next part of the lesson will be all about you putting it into practice. You will be amazed at what you pick up, even in your first lesson.
